Why not give classes that make use of museums? Assistance for museum teaching debuts

For this workshop, Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum’s exhibition spaces are specially opened on days when the museum is closed for school teachers who are considering running classes at the museum. The workshop involves work on original teaching material and dialogue-based art appreciation designed to enable teachers to get firsthand experience of actually teaching a class of children at the museum. There will also be time for teachers to air questions and concerns about classes at the museum. Teachers wondering what kind of things they could do at the museum, or who would like to get hands-on experience of dialogue-based art appreciation are welcome to join.
