Traditional Performing Arts for Kids 1 DAY Experience!

A one-day camp where children and adults come into contact with all kinds of things. Watch, listen, experience, and enjoy the Japanese summer.

Along with a performance by participants in the OKEIKO Summer Camp in Tsurukawa, there will be various events at which non-participants are welcome, allowing greater numbers of people to experience the traditional arts of Japan.

Program

1. [ Try it! ] Reservations required
13:00 – 14:30
[ Ume course ] Nagauta Shamisen, Nagauta bayashi
[ Take course ] Sokyoku, Nihon buyo

Participants: Students from 1st graders of elementary school through 3rd graders of high school

2. [ Free Time! ] Participation free to all comers, no reservations required.
14:30 – 15:10
Wander around the venue, try out the different instruments, see different professionals, experience genres not chosen for the “Try it!” program.

15:20 – 16:10
After all, it’s the pros who do it best. Experience their art for real in the venue hall. And don’t forget the performance by children who have taken part in the “OKEIKO Summer Camp in Tsurukawa”.
