Tokyo Caravan in Toyota

Condors head Ryohei Kondo to be Leading Artist

The Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games are not only a celebration of sports but also of culture. Tokyo Caravan is one of the official Cultural Olympiad initiatives. Spearheaded by director Hideki Noda, the Tokyo Caravan cultural movement has continued to develop performances based on new and unique forms of expression since it began in 2015. A diverse array of artists across languages, borders and artistic genres are invited to participate, creating a “mingling of cultures” between artists and performers whose paths have mostly never crossed before. “Tokyo Caravan in Toyota” will take place with Condors frontman and founder Ryohei Kondo as Leading Artist.

Ryohei Kondo, Toyota City Bounote Preservation Society (Bounote), RODA GIGANTE (samba, drums, etc.), Housenkai & Minyou Paradise (folk songs, shamisen, etc.), GIANT STEPS (puppets), Tomiaki Yamamoto (contemporary art), more
