TOKYO FABBERS’ MEETING♯1
Is FAB Useful Everywhere? Focus on Fashion

Genre:
  • Art Project ,
  • Lecture / Symposium ,
  • Workshop ,
  • Others

TOKYO FABBERS is a community for people creating lifestyles through manufacturing, with a focus on digital fabrication technology. Taking part in this initiative are six FAB hubs: FabCafe, Fab Lab Shibuya, Makers’ Base, HappyPrinters, coromoza, and Ikejiri Institute of Design (IID Setagaya Monozukuri School).

TOKYO FABBERS will hold a monthly discussion to talk about issues faced by FAB hubs and answer questions from the FABBERS who use them.
Why not come and exchange opinions with members of TOKYO FABBERS and everyone else taking part as we explore solutions to a range of FAB-related issues?

The first event will focus on fashion, featuring a discussion of the potential for using FAB machines and the challenges faced by the industry. Encounters with specialists from the world of fashion and the various FAB genres will help us to explore new approaches to manufacturing.
Following an introduction to the backgrounds of both fashion and FAB, the session will feature a discussion based on the responses to the questionnaire conducted in advance.
We look forward to your active participation in this event.
