Ramping up excitement for 2020 together!

In the run-up to the Olympic and Paralympic Games, we are carrying out TOPACO (Tomin Performer’s Corner), a forum enabling any Tokyo resident to present their creative endeavors.
Along with groups based in Minamiosawa, TOPACO Vol.2 will feature appearances by citizen performers ranging from children to adults normally engaged in a variety of fields.

Performer profiles (in no particular order)

Handbell course at TAMA Culture College
This handbell class, which has been running for almost eight years, attracts a wide range of ages from high school students to adults who enjoy playing this soothing form of music.

Beginners dance class for girls “FANTASY”
This all-female beginners dance school runs not just dance workshops but also stage combat classes. This is the first time for the school to perform a demonstration.

Elementary school student band “Tonakai”
This busy and active elementary school student band, who perform at local events etc., play songs with original lyrics as well as covers.

Ukulele and hula dance performance by Rimu & Hacchi and Friends
This group comprises seniors who do volunteer work in the metropolitan area. Audience members from children to adults can join in for a sing-along to the group’s wide-ranging repertoire.

Nisan-ryu Nankin Tamasudare (traditional Japanese street performance)
the group who has held voluntary performance in places such as care facilities, nursing homes for the elderly and hospitals under the slogan “First comes service, then appreciation, followed by Nankin Tamasudare in the third place.”

*The event will be held in light rain but canceled in case of more inclement weather.
