Aeon Mall Musashi Murayama’s general cultural center offers people of all ages the chance to immerse themselves in practice or enjoyment of their hobbiessuch as music, arts and craft, health and beauty and more. This year’s event features appearances by a cheerleading dance group and a hip-hop dance outfitwho offer lessons on Tuesday evenings.

The Tokyo branch of the Nihon Kobudo Association’s Miyamoto MusashiNitenichiryu school carries on the traditions of Miyamoto Musashi’sNodahaNitenichiryu style swordsmanship as well his manifesto,“The Book of Five Rings.”Devotees of Miyamoto Musashi and readers of“The Book of Five Rings” flock from all over the world to the association’s dojo in the Sumida area of Tokyo.
This performance is the Kanto region premiere of Goho no Kata [five basic sword approach] of Miyamoto Musashi’s Nitenichiryu school, and the single-sword practice methods that have been handed down for 21 generations.

The school simplifies the complexities of Tahitian dance so that everyone including first-timers can enjoy it.The school will give a performance that will transport audiences to the warmth and atmosphere of the South Pacific.

A Nakano-centered dance performance team with a total of 42 members from preschoolers to adults, which this year marks its tenyear anniversary.The group takes on diverse genres of dance, showcasing creative dance that inspires and energizes at events and festivals throughout the metropolitan area.

Ocarina performance
Lyrish Ocarina Federation “Musashino Ruscello”
The federation’s activities center around the towns of Higashikurume-city and Kiyose-city, famous for their natural spring water. The name of the group, Ruscello, means ‘murmuring of stream’ in Italian. It conducts volunteer performances at public halls and welfare facilities as well as paid performances. Musical pieces are performed by young and old from their 40s to their 80s.

Gospel chorus
“LaLaLa042”
A gospel choir who appear at community centers around Kodaira. The choir was formed in 1997 after an introductory gospel seminar.Its seven members from Kodaira and surrounding cities sing at independent live performances and events.
The group give a performancesure to deliver the joys of gospel throughout the venue.
