Makoto Nomura Senju Pun-Filled Music Festival: Seeking members for Pun Music Study Group

Genre:
  • Art Project ,
  • Others

The Senju Pun-Filled Music Festival is a project developed in conjunction with composer Makoto Nomura in which local people swap puns in a relaxed atmosphere and then create music from the experience. Punning has the power to virtually force a link between seemingly unrelated words through their similar-sounding elements. Research into pun-filled music is aimed at developing a new form of music composition using the power of puns. At the core of this research are the members of the Pun Music Study Group.

We are looking for new Pun Music Study Group members to join us for future concerts. No experience of either musical instruments or puns is necessary. Whatever you like or are good at can be utilized to create new pun-filled music. Members practice for concerts, do research on pun-filled music and attend language courses designed to inspire puns incorporating foreign languages. Join them in this enjoyable exploration of platforms for creating new pun-filled music.
