Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre “Theatre East” is transformed into a stylish RAKUGO stage!

On May 6th, Niraku Hayashiya, who is known as a monster lover in the entertainment world, challenges a papercutting marathon of all the monsters that appeared in every each 39 episodes of Ultraman! Please enjoy 2 hours of “Ultra-immersion” together with Kyotaro Yanagiya, who also loves monsters and Ultraman.
On May 7th, young rakugo artists who will lead the future rakugo world get together to bring forth howls of laughter from the audience. In addition, there are also talks especially for “RAKUGO” for Family. Please don’t miss it!
Then, on May 8th and 9th, we present “Rakugo for Children” which was held in August 2020 and was well received. A rakugo lecture by a young rakugo artist and a musical accompaniment, and skilled performances by Iromono(variety acts) performers such as DAIKAGURA(acrobatics) and KAMIKIRI(papercutting). There are also popular rakugo stories performed by veteran rakugo artists with both popularity and skills. We will give you a variety of contents that can be enjoyed by children and adults alike.
