“Trace the universe, and create your own constellation”

Walking, speaking, singing, breathing…we engage in various forms of “drawing” throughout our lives. If we allow our concept of drawing to include the following of the trajectory of a butterfly, the tracing of the shape of a cloud, or the creative combination of the lines of things like these, we may be able to look at the universe from a different perspective than usual. In this workshop, I introduce the drawings I routinely produce using embroidery methods. We will try our hand at creating lines to form a constellation, using the various colors and shapes found in abundance in the world around us as our starting points.

Participation fee: Free, no reservation required *about 30 persons per workshop (first come first served)
Eligibility: Participation limited in principle to those in the upper grades of elementary school
