Musical instrument challenge for everyone 2025 & Nishitokyo “handmade” group concert 2025

Part 1 of this project involves a workshop in which participants use their bodies to create a rhythm and play simple percussion instruments. Part 2’s free concert features a performance by a professional brass quintet and a presentation by workshop participants to showcase workshop results!

10:30-11:30 (Reception from 10:00, 1F Entrance)
*Please note that after a lunch break (for which participants bring their own lunch), participants will be asked to make a guest appearance in the concert detailed in ②.

Target participants
School age children who live or study in the city (20 students from each group)
Group A: 4- 6 grade elementary school students
Group B: Junior high and high school students

Capacity
20 students from each group
*To be decided by lottery if oversubscribed

Participation fee
Free

Program
Participants experience the fun of playing in an ensemble using simple rhythm instruments (guiro, shaker, tambourine, frame drum, etc.)
