Seeking members for Relight Committee

Genre:
  • Art Project

Relight Project is looking for Relight Committee members (hereinafter “RC members”) to get involved in holding events as well as enhancing learning on art and society.

Relight Committee is a forum for learning which, in a monthly meeting of RC members and Relight Project members, nurtures people able to take tangible action through continuing dialog that goes beyond conventional frameworks of art.
A specific aim of the forum, under the theme of “Relight Days” event planning and management, is to think about post-3/11 Japanese society and take action according to each RC member’s perspective.

“Relight Days” are events that explore the role of art in Japanese society since 3/11. During March 2016, the area around Roppongi will play host to the relighting of Tatsuo Miyajima’s public art work “Counter Void”, a symposium on post 3/11 society and workshops etc. as part of the event program.

Together with Relight Committee facilitator, artist and community designer Hiroko Kikuchi, Relight Project and RC members address concrete action towards events and enhance their learning the same time.

We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds!
