Announcement of “TOKYO GRAND TEA CEREMONY 2024”
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government and Arts Council Tokyo (Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture) are proud to present the Tokyo Grand Tea Ceremony 2024. Held at two venues within the city, this large-scale tea ceremony is open to all, and aims to promote traditional Japanese culture and arts domestically and abroad, passing them down to younger generations.
Now in its 15th time, this year’s event will be held for a total of four days, first on Saturday, October 19th and Sunday, October 20th at the Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum in Koganei-shi that exhibits historic structures that once stood in Tokyo. Then, on Saturday, October 26th and Sunday, October 27th, the event will be held in Chuo-ku at Hama-rikyu Gardens, known for its exemplary Japanese garden from the Edo period.
