Tokyo Art Meeting explores the new possibilities that emerge when contemporary art encounters expression in a variety of fields. This exhibition – the sixth of its kind – will focus on Tokyo’s potential to remix pop culture with conventional art history contexts to create something entirely new, in an attempt to take a fresh look at the city of Tokyo in a global context in the run-up to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics. It will introduce Tokyo’s creativity through a wide range of media, including visual art, music, film, and design.
