Outline

“Inclusive dance” is a new realm of expression which embraces diversity. This project presents the inclusive dance and appreciation program “Let’s connect our hearts with our hands together; Dance dance dance!” (“Inclusive Field for Dance since 1998,” 11th live performance). Together, people with and without disabilities create and perform works that transcend the idea of “with/without disability” and make the best use of each member’s distinctive individual qualities. The aim is to powerfully communicate through physical expression the importance of a society where all people live together creatively while expressing themselves as individuals, and the significance of people with disabilities’ own development of their relationship with society. The principal performers are about 40 members (ranging in age from 2 to over-60) of “Inclusive Field for Dance since 1998,” including 9 wheelchair users.
