GEORAMA 2014 is a pilot program from the animation festival GEORAMA. The festival will be held in autumn 2015 by CALF, a group of animators and critics actively engaged in screening and introducing short animations since 2010. Commercially successful works have large popularity but hides the large number of other animation works. This project attempts to expand the concept of animation through the two following approaches: 1) introducing cutting-edge animation from abroad featured in animation film festivals in Europe and other areas; 2) planning programs that make people think of the meaning of “animation” through hybrid/non-genre collaboration of similar genres such as music, drama, and documentary films.
