Outline

People who live or work along Orito Street in Otsuka, Toshima-ku, Tokyo take advantage of the characteristics of this region and hold a festival based on the theme of Japanese culture rooted in the activities of the common people. It is intended to activate. It is now possible to display and experience traditional cultural works at shops and facilities around Orito Street. At the main venue, there were appreciation and experience corners for wearing yukata, making Japanese accessories, tea ceremony, Yosakoi, sword fighting, koto, Awa dance, local karuta, nursery rhymes.

Yorozu Theater
Opened in 1993 as a multipurpose hall under the name of Yorozu Studio. After that, since most of the users are theater use, it is refurbished as a theater and the shop name is changed to the Yorozu Theater.
In addition to independent projects for revitalizing theatrical groups, the company focuses on interaction with local people and aims to contribute to the creation of a town with theaters.
The Yorozu Theater Short Story Collection, which gathers many groups, is the eighth this year, and a summer festival is held at the same time as a place for regional exchange. Since 2018, the day to open the theater to the local community has been established, and it is provided free of charge for regional exchange.
