The event featured a selection of music that both first-time and repeat visitors could enjoy, as well as commentary on each piece prior to their performance.

Profile

Ohayashi LIVE
A regular Nagauta concert series by Ohayashi LIVE, a group of professional female Hayashi performers which was formed in September 2017, principally by alumni of Japan’s top academic institution for traditional Japanese music, Tokyo University of the Arts. Every concert is an elaborate event offering not only classical performances of Nagauta, Shamisen and Hayashi, but also Japanese dance performances, solo flute pieces, original compositions by Ohayashi LIVE, and more. In a bid to promote the appeal of Hayashi music, the group is also focusing on social media, streaming etc. alongside its central performance activities. The group performs at a rate of three concerts per year.
