Outline

This project is to exhibit an installation in the Japanese exhibition of the London Design Biennale 2021. In the project the artist collected various textures scattered in the urban spaces of Tokyo and London using 3D scanning technology, then processed and combined them using digital modeling, and created a relief with1.8m high and 8m wide using digital fabrication and the papier-mache technique of Japanese paper. In the exhibition, the texture of the digital model was projected onto the surface of the relief by projection mapping, and the environmental sounds collected in Tokyo and London were played in response to visitors’ movements, in pursuit of interactivity between the work and the audience.
