Profile

Alessio Silvestrin
After graduating from the Monaco Dance Academy, he worked as a solo dancer and choreographer with the Frankfurt Ballet under W. Forsythe and other companies. After studying piano, harpsichord, and clavichord at the music conservatories, and composition and the Tricordale music technique under F. Valdambrini, he has been continuing his unique music investigation. In 2015, “Frozen Music” for piano won the top prize at the Audible Cities Composition Competition in the U.S. (premiered in Japan by Hiroaki Ooi in 2017), and in 2016, “Three Vortexes” for piano was commissioned by the Royaumont Foundation, and “31 Tanka” for harpsichord and fortepiano was presented at the program organized by Ensemble Muromachi. He choreographed “At the Hawk’s Well” directed by Hiroshi Sugimoto at the Paris Opera in 2019.
