This performance portrays a modern-age “Naomi” up to her independence, designed around the character “Naomi” in Junichiro Tanizaki’s eponymous novel.

Launched as a solo unit by Mao Yuki in 2018 while she was a student at Musashino Art University Department of Scenography, Display and Fashion, for the purpose of performing theater. She continues to create works on her theme of interest: the mental activities of young people who have dealt with/are dealing with a variety of burdens.
Based on fieldwork, Yuki’s goal is to sketch emotions using words, the body, and space.
