Outline

Due to concerns over the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) and in consideration of the health and safety of participants and staff members, this program was canceled.

Nuthmique will perform the new play “JR Joban-Line down train” (provisional title) by playwright Yu Miri, leader of the theatrical unit Seishun Gogetsutō.
The Fukushima-based drama written from Yu’s perspective provides the script, as put together by director Nukata. Nukata and members of Nuthmique made several research sojourns to Fukushima and Miyagi, which the Joban Line of the play passes through. The aim of the production was to expand the concept of theatrical expression beyond the lines of a script via the additional participation of multiple musicians and dancers as well as actors.
The production was scheduled to be the largest ever for the troupe, but due to the spread of coronavirus, Yu stopped writing the play and the production was postponed.
Written by: Yu Miri (Seishun Gogetsutō)
