Momoko Nagata
Began rhythmic gymnastics at the age of ten. Though she enjoyed numerous successes, Nagata felt more drawn to the expressive field rather than competition; and after entering the University of Tsukuba’s School of Physical Education, Health and Sport Sciences, she turned to dance. Her work covers different genres of dance including ballet, modern and jazz. Over four years from the age of 20 Nagata appeared in numerous works as a member of Somatic Field Project led by Hiroaki Umeda.
Generally interested in artistic expression that uses the body as a medium, she currently engages in a broad range of projects such as commercials,
music videos, and photographic works, including appearances in contemporary dance productions.
