Outline

A stage adaptation of “The Tale of Dreams,” an interlinking work of five short texts by Taiwanese author Lin Menghuan, directed by Loh Kokman.
This genre-crossing collaborative project incorporating video, music, puppet theater, physical theater, and kagura comprised in-person performances in Malaysia and on-demand streamed performances in Japan, Taiwan, and Malaysia.

Profile

Asianrib
A theater unit launched in January 2017, led by E-RUN (aka Rieko Yamazaki), who has around 20 years of experience working in theater in Beijing, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Asianrib is a theater platform which aims to deepen mutual understanding of cultures through theatrical exchange and transmit the appeal of Asian culture to the world. The unit’s representative work is “The Brotherhood,” a new Taiwanese work performed in August 2018 at Shinjuku Theater Moliere. Other works include “Super Sci-Fi Story Flesh of My Flesh – The Chinese Food Trap,” an international collaboration between Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia and U.S.A Los Angeles, performed remotely in July 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic.
