Profile

Hiroshi Hozumi
Nagauta Samisen Player: Hiroshi Hozumi Tohon.
He graduated from the special course of Tokyo University of the Arts, majoring in Nagauta-Syamisen, then graduated from Japanese musician training institute of NHK with honors. He won the second-place award of National Japanese Traditional Music Competition in Kumamoto. From 2010 to 2017, He had worked for the executive director of NPO Promusica Nipponia.Currently, He is the head director of Wagakki collegium Inc. and the member of Nagauta TohonKai Inc. and NPO Promusica Nipponia.He participated oversea concert tours to Brazil, England, United States, and Indonesia, as the member of Promusica Nipponia. he has regularly invited to play in Kabuki productions of Zenshinza at the National Theater since 2017.
