Incorporating vocal music that is particularly technically accomplished and sumptuous even among Buxtehude’s vocal music pieces as well as choral music popular in churches, this concert series uncovers and popularizes the proletarian and accessible side of Buxtehude.
In addition, the project helps young musicians together with specialists in early musical performance to research performance methods through practice.

BONA MUSICAE MEMBRA
D. Buxtehude, who is highly acclaimed overseas and whose work has been performed there numerous times, is a composer whose pieces are rarely performed in Japan except for his organ works. This group is an early music performance group attracting specialists of early music players in Japan who conduct research and perform so they can reflect the intentions of the composers in their performances, referring to the manuscripts of D.Buxtehude and other composers of the same period.
The launch performance in 2021 featured D.Buxtehude’s masterpiece “Membra Jesu nostri,” which was very well received.
