It is a performing arts activity for children to encounter the performing arts, nurture a kind heart, make many smiles and be moved. Performances by the theater company Tosho Musical “The Little Mermaid” and the Tokyo Theater Ensemble “The Night on the Milky Way Train”.

After the war following the spread of nationwide performance activities by theater companies specializing in theater for children, the Japan Council of Theatre Companies for Children, later renamed the Japan Council of Theatre Companies for Children and Teenagers, was established in 1975 with the three goals of “Establishing a professional basis for children’s and youth theater”, “Protecting the health and livelihood of children and youth theater workers” and “Realizing the national agenda for children and youth theater”.
