Profile

Dadaruzu
A theatrical unit led by Emi Oishi centering around the staging of theatrical works written and directed by Oishi. Through conversation-based theater that does not overly engage or harmonize, the unit’s work depicts the loneliness and anxiety of being unable to understand others or be understood, and presents a complicated picture of people who end up transcending the constraints of society and everyday life, in a depiction blending comicality and sadness. At the same time, by presenting the condition of human beings who deviate from socially-accepted norms, Dadaruzu highlights the distortion and absurdity of human beings living in the capitalist society of today.
