“The Power of Tradition, the Present of Classics” concert series includes “Fujimoto Akiko!s recital”, “the true value of jiuta and sôkyoku in a local city,” and “together with those who will lead the next generation” . The event continues to be held three times a year, each time with three different themes. This time, out of these three, was the third one. The performance techniques of Jiuta Sôkyoku, which have been refined over many years, are essential for expressing the classical singing style and the original tone and resonance of the instrument. One of the important roles of this series of performances is to “pass on the basics of classical music to the next generation.” Before the performance, we repeatedly met with young performers who are interested in classics, and together we delved deeply into classical techniques.
