The “re-verse” project formed in 2023 by composer/artist Chiku KOMIYA, soprano Kanae MIZOBUCHI, and art manager Satomi NISHIMURA held the Chiku KOMIYA Solo Exhibition “Let me sing a strange song.” This exhibition, the first overseas exhibition for KOMIYA, featured a new work “And then, O-ren Knew ‘twas a Song” in which a computer system generates new text and song through the intervention between artificial voices and human voices. The event also featured one of KOMIYA’s best known pieces, “VOX-AUTOPOIESIS,” a media performance piece in which musical score is automatically generated with voices. In a related event, soprano Kanae MIZOBUCHI and media artist Fuka NAGATA also presented a performance.
