Outline

The first solo exhibition by artist Moka Takeda. Taking her inspiration from familiar urban scenes like the view from a train window or a construction site, Takeda presents installation works that question what reality means today, in a world overflowing with information and images. The exhibition centers around “A Day in the Life,” which Takeda presented as her graduation work in 2024. The exhibition also includes the “Reise praxis” series, created in Munich, Germany in 2022 and being shown in Japan for the first time.

Profile

MOKA TAKEDA
Born in Tokyo in 1997. In 2024 she completed a Masters program in the Department of Inter-Media Art, Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts. In 2022 she went to study at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich in Germany. While living in Germany she visited 26 cities in 13 countries. Taking her inspiration from everyday urban scenes like the view from a train window or a construction site, Takeda presents installation works that question what reality means today, in a world overflowing with information and images.
