This project, “A Light, Undiluted” took the form of a performative installation, in which the performance acts as the installation. In the smoke-filled space, a work by Rinna Shimizu, a co-sponsor of the project, and my work were installed in contrasting ways. These two works were separated by a gate placed in the center of the venue, through which the five models moved back and forth between the two spaces. Black water, the common element in both performances, functions as a symbol of sin. A complex performative installation was developed, beautifully and strangely highlighting the current state of various matters and norms that bind us.
