A roots music sound exchange project created between musicians from Japan and Ethiopia in 2021 during the coronavirus pandemic. In 2024, the folk song unit MINYO CODERANNY traveled to Ethiopia for a long-awaited collaborative performance with local partner Moseb Band. Under the theme “roots music dialog: interactive communication through music that evokes affinity,” bands from two different countries took on the challenge of coming together as one unit to perform songs from both countries and create two-way artistic exchange through music.
