Story
One day, Watako (Yumi Adachi) and her lover Kimura (Katsuhiro Suzuki) are on their respective ways home after an illicit meeting when Kimura gets hit by a car. Watako, who sees the accident from a distance, leaves the scene without going to his aid, and returns home to her university lecturer husband (Tetsu Hirahara) and junior high school age stepson (Tatsuya Yamawaki). Eventually, Watako learns of Kimura’s death but is unable to grieve in front of her family and begins to regret her actions. Watako’s husband proposes they rebuild their relationship, and she goes along with his proposal, carrying the loss of Kimura in her heart.
