Outline

An old house on the outskirts of Tama which has been converted into a shared house. Homeowner Tatsuo Miyaji, who now lives in a different town, is getting old, so it has been decided that the house and the land will be put up for sale. One Friday evening in late March, the house residents hold a small party.
They look around the rooms at small scratches and stains here and there, each thinking and talking about the time that has passed in the house. Memories of when it was once a store; the families who lived there long ago. Even the neighborhood had changed continuously. All these thoughts and memories are jumbled together. In this latest work, marking the troupe’s tenth anniversary, Yaneura Heights uses the powers of imagination to freely portray the landscapes of the past and future from a series of exchanges and interactions that take place in the intimate indoor spaces of a house.
