Kokon is made up of four women mostly in their thirties whose eyes were opened to Japanese traditional arts after going out into the world as working adults. It was formed in February 2013, and has operated as a website since March 2014. In November 2014 Kokon collaborated and advised on a special feature about Japanese traditional arts in Sankei Living Shinbun Inc.’s free newspaper Living.
