Business Overview
This project is to hold 4 lectures and concerts over a period of 3 years from 2023, 100 years since the birth of G. Ligeti, to 2026, 20 years since his death. This time, the second time, the theme was "micro tuning" which is important in the composition technique of Ligeti. Two of Rigeti's students, Mr. Sturnke and Mr. Hitomi Cold Water, who are particularly well versed in the subject, participated in the lecture as panelists and performed works by Rigeti and his students at the concert. Lecture Theme: "Rigeti and Microtonality" (Microtuning: Toward tonality without tonality) ■ Chair: Akira Takaku ■ Panelists: Manfred Stahnke, Mairi Takano, Hitomi Kyuzu, Hubertos Dreyer ■ Performers: Performance: Mari Adachi (viola), Hitomi Kyuzu (differential keyboard), Takateru Fujimoto, Yuto Tsuchihashi (guitar), Percussion: Mizuki Aida * Video will be available for a limited time after the event.

Profile
[György Ligeti 100th Anniversary Lecture & Concert Executive Committee]
We are planning and implementing a four-part "György Ligeti 100th Anniversary Lecture & Concert" series over a three-year span, from 2023, the centennial of Ligeti's birth, to 2026, the 20th anniversary of his death. Each event will have a Ligeti-related theme, and will be planned as both a lecture and a concert. Among the major contemporary composers, Ligeti's music is one that combines expertise with popular appeal, and the purpose of this project is to widely convey the message of this composer, who lived through war and turmoil, to future generations.
