Business Overview

Installation artist (euglena) and architectural design unit Shu Ha Re: collaborated to create a new work. This exhibition is a fusion of text, minerals, flat works and space. In the experience of moving through a space divided by a thin cloth, the viewer moves deeper into the space while reading the text. Sometimes minerals placed between sentences appear linked to the story like illustrations. By the time you finish reading, you arrive at a flat work with no clear outline and an open space with soft light. This exhibition is composed of a text on “hypnosis, ” a round mineral that seems to be made of clay, a flat work covered with thin Japanese paper that shows a soft image, and a space with the theme of“ half sleep, half wakefulness, ” and offers viewers an experience of “a journey of the mind. ”.

Profile

[(euglena)]
(euglena) works as an installation artist in Tokyo.
Born in 1993. Born in Japan to Chinese Thai and Peruvian-born Japanese parents, she lives and works in Tokyo. With the concept of "rediscovering oneself innocently," he creates interactive works made of dandelion fluff that do not rely on artificial power, and also works with themes of psychology and the body. In recent years, including his recent work using cotton wool that did not become seeds, he has published works that visualize the flow of time, which is different from the cycle of technology, and invite us to inner time.
