Business Overview

The project commemorates the 130 year anniversary of the birth of Catalan composer Federico Mompou, reflecting once again on his achievements and demonstrating not only his uniqueness but also his universality and extensibility. At the same time, he presented a truly international form of cultural exchange by performing the work "The Wind of Catalonia," which was born out of deep understanding and sympathy for Mompou and the culture that nurtured him by the composer Heiji Yushu, who had a close connection with Mompou. Performers included Tokunaga Shinichiro, a famous guitarist from our country, and Janne Tateno, another famous violinist, and members of his string quartet. The program consisted of seven pieces from Mompou's masterpiece "Song and Dance," arranged for guitar and string quartet by one of Japan's leading composers, Keishu Hirakichi, and "The Wind of Catalonia," composed by Hirakichi in the same composition, as well as other famous Mompou pieces arranged for chamber music by Japanese.
