Business Overview
After conducting research on Enshu Dai-nenbutsu, a Bon festival that has been held in the Enshu region of Shizuoka Prefecture since the Edo period, the newly created three-dimensional images were deployed in a cafe space called Fab Cafe Tokyo. In many cases, 'Enshu Dainenbutsu' is performed in the 'garden' of a private house where Hatsubon is to be celebrated. "Niwazaki" is a special place where situations such as outside and inside, public and private intersect, although it is very private for the people living there. And I felt that 'Niwazaki' in 'Enshu Dainenbutsu' played an extremely important role as a place connecting this shore and higan. In light of this, we decided to hold the exhibition through this project not in a white cube space such as a gallery, but in a café, which is relatively connected to daily life and close to a "garden" where situations such as outside and inside, public and private intersect. In this exhibition, one video work and six three-dimensional works were newly created and arranged, and it was an attempt to reexamine the relationship between materials and forms in "transformation" that he has been exploring, using the keyword "garden."
