Business Overview
The purpose of this project is to move away from the influence of 19 century German culture, which made musical works "objects of contemplation," to emphasize all communication related to the realization of a work, and to regard a musical work as a "place of sharing," in other words, all forms of generation, sympathy, exchange and agreement that can occur between different people. The act of listening is done not through "creative imagination" but through "instrument = instrumented body". And, it tries to attempt the communication between people, instruments, and sounds in the space of the musical work. The program consists of 3 works: Kim Yo-han's “Piano Model: Material Turn ” (2022) and“ Half-Space Music: Between Listening and Joint Listening ” (2023), and commissioned composer Tomomi Adachi's lecture performance “What is a Collective Instrument ” or“ Sympathy/Synchronicity/Synthesizer” (2023). The performers are Tomomi ADACHI, Goko INOUE (piano), Johan KAN and Kyoko KURIHARA (flute).
