Business Overview
Wakadayu WAKAMATSU, the third generation of sekkyo joruri, uses a single shamisen (a three-stringed Japanese banjo) and his own voice to perform sorrowful recitations that bring tears to the ears. What is Wakadayu's aim for in the one-voice, two-verse (Ichiko Enifushi) sutra? Through her performances with Japanese dancer Bando Tomikiko and Nishikawa Furuyanagi, the fifth head of Hachioji Kuruma ningyo (Hachioji car doll), she delves into her narration. Wakadayu WAKAMATSU III (real name: Takao KOMINE)
In 1989, he became a disciple of Wakadayu WAKAMATSU II after being moved by his performance. In 10, he succeeded to Wakadayu WAKAMATSU the third. In the same year 12, he was designated as the holder of intangible cultural property (entertainment) by Tokyo Metropolitan Government and as the holder of intangible cultural property registered by Itabashi Ward, Senkyo Joruri. He lives in Sayama City, Saitama Prefecture.
