Business Overview
Dancer Kuroki Yuta was invited to Festival Lima Gunung (Festival Lima Gunung), an art festival held in five mountain villages in Indonesia to pray for a bountiful harvest, and the Japan-Indonesia joint production "Rootedness and Beyond" was realized using dance and traditional music. In this collaboration, Ki Ageng Qithmir (Ki Ageng Qithmir), who plays a unique mix of traditional and contemporary music from Indonesia, and Yuta Kuroki, who has roots in Shiiba Kagura and excels in various forms of body expression, presented their works in two cities in Indonesia (Magerang Pati), visited local traditional performing arts schools and traditional festivals, and conducted workshops and research. “Rootedness and Beyond ” starts with an exploration of one's“ roots ” in tradition and culture called “rootedness ”, and uses our close connections such as indigenous cultures and ancestors as motifs. ■ Performers Kuroki Yuta (Japan, Dance) Ki Ageng Qithmir (Indonesia, Music) ■ Producer Brian Trinanda Kusuma Adi ■Special thanks Komunitas Lima Gunung, Jepalo village
