Unaccompanied mandolin works by contemporary composers were featured from two perspectives: "contemporary music" as an era with tonality, beautiful sound, and clear melodies, and "contemporary music" as a genre that approaches newer expressions and techniques. Profile

Mamiya Takumi
Born in Suginami, Tokyo in 1993. He won first prize in the solo section of the 10 th ARTE International Mandolin Competition, first prize in the 25 th Japan Mandolin Solo Competition, and third prize in the folk instrument section of the 18 th Osaka International Music Competition. He is mainly engaged in solo activities, and has been actively introducing unaccompanied mandolin works and performing them for the first time in Japan. In 2018, he was invited as a guest artist at the 2018 CMSA Convention in SantaRosa, organized by the American Classic Mandolin Association, and has expanded his activities internationally.
