Business Overview
Theater music, which does not require a larger set or budget than opera, is an attractive field because it is easy for an individual to host a concert, and the audience can have an opportunity to experience physical expression and music. In Japan, various works in this field have been produced, led by Soharu KAWASHIMA and Raiaki MATSUDAIRA. This project explores and presents a new way of expression by performing the new works of both composers, the new works of Mr. Takahiro Kuroda, a notable young composer, and the works of G. Apergis, a composer who can be said to be the master of theater music in Europe, with the composition of songs, clarinets, and percussion instruments, which does not yet have a representative ensemble in Japan. The performers are Yakushiji Noriko (soprano), Aida Mizuki (percussion instrument) and Nishimura Kaoru (clarinet). Program ♦︎ "Invention VII" by Motoharu KAWASHIMA (commissioned new work) ♦︎ "Imaginary Art Museum" by Yoriaki MATSUDAIRA (commissioned new work) ♦︎ "Accumulating Gray Ash" by Takahiro KURODA (commissioned new work) ♦︎ "The Seven Deadly Sins of Love" by Georges Aperghis ♦︎ "Tarantella" by Scott Munson ♦︎ "Das Rachenman IVb" by Motoharu KAWASHIMA
