Business Overview
As the second performance of the rational freaks, they aimed to perform the newly written work "Oroika Song." From the creative process of the play, the director and the performers were deeply involved in the production, and they worked to make use of their experiences and words. We also planned a reading event for stories created during the creation process and a pre-event (held via Zoom) in which participants read a few scenes from the play. However, the event was postponed due to the spread of the novel coronavirus. It has been preparing to resume operations since 2022. [Story] Oto finds a collective job, Yayoi is raised by her adoptive mother, and the twins Rinko and Yuko go their separate ways after a sexual assault incident. Through the stories of the women of three generations of the Saiki family, it confronts head-on the problems that have been handed down to us and that we face today. Profile
[Rational Weirdos]
A performance group consisting mainly of women who chose to pursue drama, even though they graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, which does not have a drama course. After leaving the university, which used to be a "salad bowl of art" with a variety of genres, the members have built a foundation of expression in each field and deepened their specialties. They are working with the aim of pursuing a "new salad bowl of art". Consciously continue to question what theatrical expression is required or lacking in Japan today, and challenge ourselves to reflect our times.
