Business Overview

In fiscal 2020, the theme of the season was "Living Together," with a focus on mourning for the people and things who perished in calamities, and the performance was programmed from the perspective of coexistence with the "lost." At #70, 3 Japanese composers (Yukiko WATANABE, Toshika KISHINOSUE, Atsuhiko GONDAI) were commissioned to write new works based on the season's theme, and they performed the world premiere work in which the overwhelming individuality of the 3 composers resonated, and T. Riley's “In C ” which had a new development with the participation of children (Nomad Kids). In #71, they performed a performance that conveyed the impact of the contrast between Luc Ferrari, who constantly changed according to his aesthetic theme, and the music of Joe Kondo, who constantly pursued a consistent theme, as well as the emotion of "symbiosis" that arose from the correspondence between the 2 composers that transcended time and space.
