Profile
【World Taiko Conference Executive Committee 】
With the Olympic and Paralympic Games scheduled to be held in Tokyo, the World Taiko Conference was organized for the first time in Japan. In addition to a wide range of people related to taiko, who have been limited in their ability to work together in the past, academic experts with experience in managing international cultural events and conferences have become executive members.
It will be an opportunity to promote the formation of an international network and human resource development of the taiko industry, which will lead to the future, by bringing together members of the taiko industry who have been engaged in individual activities in the past and exchanging with each other beyond the barriers existing between groups. In addition, regardless of nationality, age, gender, or disability, the project will provide opportunities for people to become familiar with the drum culture, and advocate the possibility of a multicultural society by utilizing the universal and socially inclusive characteristics of the drum.
