Business Overview

The main purpose of this project is for the participants to touch and appreciate the National Treasures that have been restored to their original state using digital technology. Professor Taizo Kobayashi, a digital restoration artist, named this new method of appreciation "Shodo," and provided a multifaceted understanding of the culture and customs of the time, such as a classroom study of the works, actual experience, wearing costumes, tasting restored food, and touching restored items in the works. The aim of the exhibition is for the participants to experience the darkness of the room at that time, the viewing attitude, and the flexible setting, which cannot be understood from the exhibition conditions in museums and art galleries that have no choice but to be flat from the viewpoint of the protection of works, and to experience the new awareness and design intention of the works through trial and error. Professor Taizo Kobayashi, a digital restoration artist, provided the works and conducted the course, and Dice Connecting fully planned and produced the projects accompanying the course.
