FY 2016 Tokyo Culture Program Grant: Support for a project to build momentum

Business Overview

"TRANS ARTS TOKYO," a cross-genre art project utilizing various urban spaces, will mark its fifth anniversary in 2016 and aim for new horizons. The cities that hold the key to Tokyo since 2020 are the traditional ones that still retain their presence as cultural resources, such as Yane 1000, Yushima, Hongo, Ueno, Jinbocho, Akihabara, and Kanda, which led the modern era from Edo to Meiji. We call this area "UP TOKYO" as a place that will play a role in the future of Tokyo, and we are expanding our horizons further.
