Profile
Kei Yamazawa
While steadily studying classical works, he actively performs contemporary music and commissions composers, and continues to explore the possibilities of the cello.
Since 2015, he has held a recital series called "Mind Tree" that contains only unaccompanied cello pieces written after the 20 century. In 2021, he started a recital featuring works by Japanese composers.
Principal cellist of the University of the Arts Philharmonia Orchestra and contracted principal cellist of the Chiba Symphony Orchestra.
